Sponsors

One of the major barriers to maintaining a robotics team is financial support. Fortunately we have three gracious sponsors who have devoted their time, effort, and funds to support our team. We are sponsored by The Boeing Company, The Windward Institute, and The Pettys. The Windward Institute is a located at Windward School, a private school in Los Angeles that every member of the Omnicats attends. These sponsors have financed and supported our team and have allowed us to not only compete but also spread the message of FIRST.

The Boeing Company

We are very thankful to be sponsored by The Boeing Company every year. Boeing believes in the positive influence that exposing young adults to the STEM fields can have. Boeing supports their belief by donating to Team 1452 every year. In addition, Boeing offers a seven to eight week internship during the summer after junior year to many Windward robotics members to give students the opportunity to see a job in the STEM field in application.

The Boeing Company, founded in 1916, is the world's largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jetliners and defense, space and security systems.

Windward School

The Windward Institute is a proud sponsor of the Omnicats. The Institute's objective is to reach out to the community and work with businesses and educational endeavors in order to provide Windward students with amazing opportunities.

Windward School is a dynamic college-preparatory school that challenges each student to achieve excellence in a nurturing, inclusive community. Windward teachers, parents, and administrators work together to inspire our students to be responsible, caring, well informed, ethical, prepared, and well balanced young adults.

The Pettys

Mr. and Mrs. Stephen and Jill Petty were one of the Omnicats' first supporters. The generous and kind couple believe in the power that robotics has to influence high schoolers' decisions to pursue a career in the STEM fields.
